Maria G. Torres is a licensed clinical social worker. She earned a master’s degree in social work and a bachelor’s degree in social work and Spanish at Boise State University. She has served in social work roles for the state’s Child Protective Services with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Worked with St. Luke’s Health System as an emergency room social worker. Before joining Saltzer Health in 2018, Torres was a Behavioral Health Consultant at Terry Reilly, a federally qualified health center.
At Saltzer Health, she has developed and is expanding an Integrated Behavioral Health program in the family practice clinics.
She has been a member of the National Association of Social Workers for 12 years and is serving as the vice president for NASW (National Association of Social Workers) Idaho chapter. She is also a member of the IIBHN (Idaho Integrated Behavioral Health Network).
In her free time, Torres enjoys spending time with family, mountain biking, hiking, and baking.
