Deepu George is an Associate Professor in Family Medicine at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine and serves as the Director of Integrated Behavioral Health. In addition to providing direct services as a Behavioral Health Consultant, Deepu focuses on advancing PCBH model in his current institution and workforce development of the next generation of professionals in primary care. His work in medical education focuses on training Family Medicine residents in clinical and operational aspects of the PCBH model through a longitudinal curriculum over three years. He also conceptualized and leads a multi-disciplinary, university wide partnership between health profession and mental health departments titled Primary Care Behavioral Health Partnerships Advancing and Transforming Health Sciences (PCBH PATHS). He is a contributing member of the Integrated Care Podcast from Collaborative Family Healthcare Association (CFHA), a PCBH trainer / consultant with NCR Behavioral Health with Dr. Kent Corso and an associate of Mountainview Consulting Group with Dr. Patti Robinson and team.
