Rita Billow, PhD was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She moved to Eureka, Montana with her family when she was four years old and has resided in Eureka ever since. She earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from The University of Montana. She completed her APA-accredited clinical internship at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale Student Health Center in Carbondale, Illinois and her post-doctorate residency at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital in Libby, Montana. She is married to Joe Billow, who also grew up in Eureka and whom wore down her resolve not to date him when they worked together at Plum Creek sawmill in Fortine, Montana. Rita enjoys gardening, camping, cooking, hiking and reading.
