
Louise currently serves as the Regional Administrator for Health & Human Services, Region X, serving as a federal liaison to the NW states and tribes on all aspects of Older Americans Act programs. Previously Louise was the National Ombudsman Program Coordinator for the U.S. Administration for Community Living, serving as an expert on residential long-term services and supports, and the provision of long-term care Ombudsman services. Prior to coming to ACL Louise was the Washington State LTC Ombudsman. She was responsible for the statewide LTC Ombudsman Program, its staff, contractors and a corps of four hundred volunteer representatives of the Office. She worked with state agencies and the legislature to promote rights and consumer protections to improve the quality of care and life for persons living in long-term care facilities.
