Dr. Ragan has been a practicing family physician for nearly 40 years. Spending most of his early and mid-career in the U.S. Navy, he practiced in such diverse locations as a battleship, a tiny atoll in the middle of the Indian Ocean, and as faculty in Navy family medicine residency programs. For the past seven years he has been a physician with Health West Community Health Center and the Idaho State University Family Medicine Residency program. His clinical and teaching focus in recent years has been comprehensive primary care for LGBTQ and substance use disorder patients.
